Stolen Lives

According to the Global Slavery Index in figures released on July 19th 2018, there are a staggering 136,000 people in the UK in some form of slavery. This is big business, generating millions for the criminal organisations involved across the world. Stolen Lives examines the current state of trafficking and slavery in modern day Britain, with direct evidence from those fighting this crime daily, including the police, NHS workers and volunteers. Most importantly, the book includes the testimony of survivors, and follows in detail the journey of one young woman trafficked from Albania, and now fighting to be granted leave to stay in the UK.
