The story is about a little armadillo who dreams of having a beautiful song like the frogs, crickets, and canaries that live around him. He studies and practices all day and night, but the sounds he makes are not quite right. He tries the horn, the harmonica, the piano and every other possible thing... but the other animals make fun of him saying:
