This book describes the solar power and piezoelectric based energy optimization and appliances control. The increase in energy consumption of portable electronic devices and the concept of harvesting renewable energy in human surrounding arouses a renewed interest. This book focuses on one of such advanced methods of energy harvesting using solar cell and piezoelectric material. Piezoelectric materials can be used as mechanisms to transfer mechanical energy, usually ambient vibration, into electrical energy that can be stored and used to power other devices. A solar tracker is used in various systems for the improvement of harnessing of solar radiation. The problem posed is the implementation of a system which is capable of enhancing production of power by 30-40%. The control circuit is implemented by the microcontroller. The control circuit then positions the motor that is used to orient the solar panel optimally.
