We are often reluctant to abandon predictable treatment procedures because we fear a change to some new treatment modality may not result in the successful outcome.The contemporary question, "Is single-visit root canal treatment a biologically compromised treatment?" has not been conclusively answered, although numerous studies have addressed various aspects of this question. There is no short cut to success; single visit endodontics does not mean skipping of any step, rather all the steps must be systematically performed in one visit to achieve a successful outcome.Single visit versus multiple visit endodontics in light of existing concerns has hence been undertaken for comparision.
