Shipwrecked from the Island of Liberty

According to the newspaper "Today" (Dnes) of the Czech Republic, Mayda and Liuver Saborit's story is more than just an additional chapter ending in the Cuban Odyssey of a better life. It goes further... Like the one from Reynaldo Arenas. Or like the massive desertion of the Cuban soccer team, and many others who seek for liberty between millions. Therefor the Host editorial did not hesitate inviting them to launch their testimony with the book "Shipwrecked from the Island of Liberty" where they reveal the horrifying odyssey they went through in order to escape from the island; obligated to leave their two small children. In their pages they describe their dramatic lives in the "Island of Liberty", the persecution, and blackmail from the dynastic regime of the Castros; specially the vicissitudes in the Refugee Camps where they had to coexist with persons from various parts of the world. Liuver and Mayda were selected for the cultural section of the diary "Today the most famous exiled on the Czech Republic in 2010."
