Romo's World

The colonists get a cold welcome upon arrival in Mariner Valley. They soon discover that the many organizations that planned their mission have not communicated well on specifics, like food and decent shelter. Worse, the ground crew waiting for them are a collection of angry, tired survivors of ill planning, sickened from raw solar radiation. Romo, not affected by the colony's shortcomings, is eager to find his own purpose but makes it a priority to make Mars more livable for his friends. But enemies are still in the skies above, and on the surface, as an overly ambitious colony leader seeks to rob Romo of the thing he values most - freedom.
