Retreatodontics

The objective of endodontic treatment is thorough debridement, sterilization, and obturation of the root canal space. Root canal treatment usually fails when treatment falls short of these objectives. A growing interest in endodontic retreatment has been seen recently, caused by an increasing demand to preserve teeth, including those cases where endodontic therapy has failed.
