Global horizontal radiation and Weibull probability density function have been considered to calculate solar and wind energy respectively for 75wp PV panel and Air-X wind turbine. In the study area 21% households are electrified. Their daily average demand is 250-300 watt of which 96% is used for lighting and fanning purpose. One combined system can replace national grid by meeting three-family's demand, and the benefit-cost (B/C) ratio becomes 0.738. 79% households those were not electrified mainly use kerosene burning lamp for lighting. It releases a lot of CO2, CO, SO2 gasses into the atmosphere. The study shows that one combined system can replace 43 kerosene lamps to meet the demand of 21 families. Furthermore, their average demand of kerosene is 3.7 liter/month. In this context, one combined system can be able to save 47.92 tones of CO2 through its life time. Though electricity cost from renewable sources is very high, considering kerosene cost and cost of CO2 in the global market B/C ratio becomes 5.138. Most of the respondents want to get electricity from alternative sources. It should increase investment in renewable energy to face the future challenges.
