Proteomics

PROTEOMICS Term proteomics defined as the large-scale characterization of the entire protein complement of a cell line, tissue, or organism. Proteins are biochemical compounds consisting of one or more polypeptides typically folded into a globular or fibrous form, facilitating a biological function. The goal of proteomics is to analyze the varying proteomes of an organism at different times, in order to highlight differences between them.
