Cephalometric radiography was introduced into orthodontics during 1930's but the method only gained wider acceptance for practical applications during the last four decades. Over the years, a whole range of analysis has been developed by a number of authors.For clinical application, the methods designed to assist diagnosis are of particular interest. The many different diagnostic analyses may be differentiated in a number of ways. Cephalometric radiography is just one link in the complex of data collection.
