Pre-prosthetic implant site preparation in aggressive periodontitis

Aggressive periodontitis poses a great challenge to clinicians with regards to stabilization of periodontal disease and prosthetic rehabilitation. Implant placement in patients diagnosed with aggressive periodontitis is often considered "taboo" due to the multiple complicating factors of this disease and the rapid nature of destruction of the periodontal attachment apparatus.
