There is a concern that the river of Buriganga has recently become worse due to the humic enriched sediments accumulated the river bottom due to the drainage waste of water. The presence of humic acid (HA),as part of the organic pollutants, has been a problem in the water industry due to their water soluble formation. The photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants using TiO2 has demonstrated successful performance in various remediation systems of polluted water and air. From the sunlight irradiation experiment, it was found that the3 gm TiO2 show better degradation efficiency compared to other amount variation. The pH variation is also checked and it was found that at the acidic medium the degradation efficiency is higher and it is found that the optimum pH value is less than 6.2.The appreciable degradation efficiency was checked in different concentration of HA such as 10 mg/L,15 mg/L,20 mg/L,25 mg/L and 30 mg/L,it was found that higher degradation efficiency was found for 20 mg/L.Since the artificial lamp device for photocatalytic degradation is expensive,so the solar photo catalytic would be more promising.
