In the context of ever-increasing population and socio-cultural evolution landuse change becomes a universal and continuous process. Unscientific landuse practices have been deteriorating the sustainability of land resources.This book presents conceptual and methodological issues related to misuse or unscientific use of land resources.Being located in a undulating plateau fringe region, Southwest Birbhum District is relatively more susceptible to landuse change.
