Most research on the study of corrosion inhibition of metals and alloys in aqueous and acid media have favored the emergence of a large number of organic compounds. The effect of synthesis organic compounds on the corrosion of carbon steel in aqueous solution of 1 M hydrochloric acid was investigated by chemical and electrochemical techniques. The results obtained showed that the inhibitors could serve as effective inhibitors for the corrosion of carbon steel in hydrochloric acid media. Quantum chemical calculations also were used to correlate the inhibition ability of the inhibitors compound with its electronic structural parameters. This review gives an overview of recent work on the inhibitive effect of synthesis organic compounds particularly for steel in acidic medium so as to provide industrialists with vital comparative literature for possible large scale use of inhibitors in their operations. This will contribute to sustainable.
