In remote locations, grid electric power is not really accessible or can be accessible in restricted quantities. The specific objectives of this research project was: i. To find the optimized system configuration of PV based renewable hybrid system for remote off-grid BTS sites as well as grid connected BTS (Base Transceiver Station) sites. ii. To study the feasibility of Wind-PV hybrid system configuration for off grid BTS sites. iii. To study the environmental benefits of renewable sources powering BTS.
