Nature based Tourism

This book depicts on introducing an immersion program which will provide university students a perception of the issues relating to the trans boundary rivers. It will also give them an idea of cultural diversity in Northeast India and Bangladesh. Students will understand the strategies of nature-conservation adopted by communities and governments. The experience that students will endure during the trip will benefit them to inter-linkage between nature and cultures on the North-east regions of India and Bangladesh and to appreciate how local communities protected the nature from desecration by modern cultures. It is the stewardship of these cultures that protected the nature while the threats have come from outside. The experience will help students develop a world view of the different cultures and assist them to become future leaders who will value the nature and its diversities.
