Luna Blanca's Tarot Book

Both a reference work and a textbook, Luna Blanca's Tarot Book includes card interpretations and instructional chapters. Illustrated with black and white images of all 78 cards from the previously unpublished Tranquil Willows deck, this text compares images from several decks to reveal a range of interpretations for each card. Motherpeace, Crowley's Thoth, Kris Waldherr's Goddess Tarot and Lover's Path, Robin Wood, New Vision, and Rider-Waite-Smith are all discussed here. Each Major Arcana card includes keywords; a general interpretation; Dark Side which may apply to reversed cards; Light Side which suggests an activity; Between the Decks which presents a comparison of the images in several decks; In Spiritual Work which suggests ways to use the card in meditation, prayer, or ritual; Questions to Ask for reflecting on the application of the card; Affirmations for integrating the message of the card; and Snapshot which provides a haikuesque poem encapsulating the feeling of the card. 

 Each Minor Arcana card includes a multi-deck comparison and a general interpretation. Keywords are provided for each number and face card, for example, keywords for the Aces, the Twos, and so forth. A brief discussion of the suits, the court and Tarot history cards is also included. In the instructional chapters, Reading the Cards begins with one-card spreads and builds up to complex spreads. It also includes advice on reading for others and on learning multiple decks. Numerology and Tarot gives instructions for calculating a person's Name, Lifetime, and Year Symbols, and an explanation of how those symbols interact. Tarot for Meditation and Spiritual Intent shows how to explore Tarot cards in meditation and incorporate the cards in prayer and ritual.
