The study explored the prevalence of Learning disabilities among secondary school students in Kano State. To achieve this, descriptive survey design was employed in which 384 students randomly sampled from a students' population of 248,254 were rated. Rating scale designed by Hammill and Bryant was adapted. Research Assistants were used to rate the students selected from 24 secondary schools. The Population of the study comprised urban, rural, private, public, boarding, day, senior, junior, male and female secondary school students respectively. Results analyzed via ANOVA and t-test reveals significant findings. Listening disability recorded the highest rate followed by speaking, reading, mathematics, writing and reasoning. Rural schools were shown to have high prevalence than urban schools. Learning disabilities was also higher in public than private and; in boarding than day schools respectively. However, no significant difference existed between male and female, senior and junior students respectively. A Recommendation offered suggests early diagnosis and education on the various areas of Learning disabilities and how the students can live a successful life.
