Land of the Free

Woodrow "Pack" Landfair aka Packman Surfs The World is the owner of the #1 surf rental destination in mainland USA and the only surf shop in the world open at 6:30am - El Porto Surf Shop, in El Porto, California (a tiny beach town ten minutes from Los Angeles International Airport). 11 years before purchasing the shop in 2017, Landfair began his career working odd jobs town to town, sleeping outside while living off of a motorcycle, riding through the 48 states. Over the course of his journey he took on countless identities, including the role of a world-famous clown, was taken in by outlaws smuggling pot and psychedelics, and re-emerged to define his own identity. That adventure is the subject of his first book, the semi-fictional, semi-autobiographical novel LAND OF THE FREE (Harbinger Book Group, 2014).
