Laboratory Techniques for Animal Nutrition Workers

Animal Nutrition deals with the nature of nutrient and establishes their role in metabolism, the assessment of which necessitates analysis of variety of biological materials such as feed, faeces, urine etc. The analytical technique involved in animal nutrition, therefore, needs to be well documented to meet the requirements of students/nutrition workers. This text represents an attempt to summarize and consolidate a considerable amount of information relative to laboratory procedures and experimental techniques that are used commonly in animal nutrition studies. In this book efforts have been made to cover a wide range of topics like general precautions into animal nutrition laboratories, requirement of various materials in animal nutrition laboratories, sampling of feed and biological samples, preparation of solutions, main feature of proximate analysis, estimation of dry matter, ash and acid insoluble ash and silent feature of feeds and fodders.
