Inés M. Llanos nació en La Habana en 1959. Tras el triunfo de la revolución cubana, su familia se trasladó a España, primero a Asturias y luego a Madrid, donde sus padres y tíos fundaron en 1964 el restaurante cubano Zara. Estudió Filología Germánica y trabajó como librera varios años. Desde el 2000 al 2003 estudió Creación Literaria en la Escuela de Letras de Madrid. Desde el 2014 regenta junto a su marido el restaurante Zara, que heredó de sus padres. La maestra y el pintor es su primera novela.

Inés M. Llanos was born in Havana, 1959.
