Jung and the Humanities

The C.G. Jung Foundation in New York recently sponsored an international interdisciplinary conference on Jung and the humanities. The purpose was to examine the nature and extent of Jung's influence and to examine the validity of archetypal theory, not only in areas that have traditionally availed themselves of the psychoanalytic approach, but also in areas which have more recently explored its applications. The selection of papers, refined and edited for publication, provides a timely overview of archetypal scholarship and shows the increasingly wide scope of Jung's psychology.
