Congo or Congo-Brazzaville, officially the Republic of Congo, has ratified the 2003 Convention on the Protection of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, adopted by UNESCO. This convention is a normative instrument defining intangible cultural heritage and reflects a national awareness of the importance of safeguarding the skills and traditions that underpin the culture of communities and different social groups. Today, the National Museum of the Congo is committed to the conservation and transmission of intangible cultural assets through the creation of an exhibition scenography using new technologies. This thesis proposes a reflection on the repercussions of these new opportunities on the intangible cultural heritage and the safeguarding of this one within the national museum of Congo by resorting to the new technologies.
