Bakanae disease (Foot rot) of rice is becoming a serious threat to basmati production and had been reported to cause 20-50% loss in total production. Among the six oil cakes which were tested against Fusarium moniliforme, maximum inhibition (59.31 and 64.03%) of pathogen growth at both concentrations (10&20%) was observed in mahua cake respectively. Among the nine essential oil, cheed oil (Banana oil) was observed with maximum inhibition (77.06%) followed by shisham oil (71.51%) at 10% concentration. Among the plant extract, Ajwain extract completely suppressed the pathogen growth at 20% concentration. For test the inhibitory effect of fungicides against F. moniliforme, systemic and non- systemic fungicides were used. It was observed that, all systemic fungicides have very much inhibitory effect at minimum concentration (100ppm). But non- systemic fungicides have less inhibitory effect to test pathogen at all the tested concentrations as compare to the systemic fungicides. Bio-agents also were observed with suppressive effect to the pathogen. The metabolites of Pseudomonas fluorescens were observed with 49.62% inhibitory of growth of F. moniliforme.
