Hills West High School is where freshman Matt Cross immediately encounters beautiful young ladies, ill-mannered upperclassmen, and an assistant principal that manipulates the rules any way he likes. But there is more to these hallways than what meets the eye.

Unbeknownst to Matt, an intruder is quietly embezzling funds from the school on a regular basis by hacking into the district's computer system in the middle of the night. When Matt learns that this intruder is an unpleasant faculty member, he feels he has no choice but to take action.

Deciding to try the right thing first, Matt and his newfound friend, Jesse, go to the police only to find themselves ignored. Growing obsessed, Matt sets out to find the information to prove the intruder guilty. Risking their expulsion, Matt and Jesse realize that the only way to prove the intruder guilty is by breaking into the school themselves.

Soon Matt and Jesse put together all of the pieces of this mysterious puzzle to form a team to assist them in this break-in. Using each of their individual skills, the team designs an extravagant plan to navigate through the school's cameras, digital locks, complex air vents, and patrolling police officers. But during this breathless heist, Matt and his friends soon realize they may have bitten off more than they can chew.

On the wrong side of the law and running, Matt and his friends find themselves caught and trapped within their own plans and quickly learn that they are risking much more than their expulsion in this daring move against the school.
