Gender Inequality and Missing Women

This book is about those destitute and the pre detected sex selective abortion of girl child who did not see the light of the earth. This study may enlighten the future mothers and safe from such irrational and crucial inequality. Birth of girl hurts as thorn in neck for parents about her sexual safety and security and also the main responsibility regarding the 'dowry' of a girl child during her marriage. People start counting the rate of an abortion in compare to growing expenses of a girl child. And the result comes- killing of a girl is more affordable than her whole life grown up and dowry expenses. From this study we come to know about the real picture of sex selective abortion and its effects on over all demographic features in South Asian countries. It still happens in this region because it is the area of strong patriarchal nature and fully culture oriented life style. Their dependency and economically defined future responsibility on children in family relations is major determining factor of decreasing rate of women and girl child.
