Zane and Zeek Hoffmann are young boys forced to attend in a mind-controlling, life-threatening, grisly game, invited by the head of their country. The governor of the awe-inspiring and prodigious yet somehow untraveled and unrecognized country has a theory that young boys should be schooled on how to evolve into his ideal of a man. He destroys not only the Hoffmann boys but all boys' boyhood, including their bloodline. For the first time in ten years, someone has outsmarted the governor and wins his wicked game, which causes the Hoffmann boys to be on the run. In America the boys try to adopt a normal life, but the past doesn't fully permit the idea, and again they're being forced to fight for freedom and prove their reason to live.
