Fingerprinting Popular Culture

This book is a response to the new political presence and of the culture of the urban middle classes in the whole of South Asia. The essays are written, for the most part, by personalities from the world of formal film studies and film criticism. The book's political project is to work with the stretched meaning of the 'political' that popular cinema has produced.
