The document trail starts in several Mississippi counties including Sunflower, Leflore, Carroll, Tallahatchie, and Copiah and Pike County in Alabama. There is even a line of family which stretches back to the Isle of Mann. With the Great Migration, the trails diverge to Cleveland, Detroit, Kansas City, and then California. Now members of the family can be found in just about every state of the Union.
