When successful painter Mark Thompson meets Julie Hamilton a young wannabe artist in the grounds of Conisbrough Castle on a hot summer's day, he has no idea what the consequences might be. Drawn by Julie's obvious passion for art and her own inimitable attractiveness, Mark decides to help her in her quest to stage an exhibition. Only then does he discover that everyone else in her life resents his interference, especially her husband. However, the greater her difficulties, and the greater the opposition to her heartfelt ambition, the more Mark finds himself falling in love with Julie. Can he possibly succeed when so much stands in her way?
