The pain resulted from immunizations can lead to preprocedural anxiety in the future, needle fears and health care avoidance behaviors, including non adherence with vaccination schedules (Taddio, et al., 2010). It is estimated that up to 25% of adults have a fear of needles (Journal Pediatric Child Health, 2006) with most fears developing in infant &childhood. About 10% of the population avoids vaccination and other needle procedures because of needle fears (Taddio, et al., 2009). Administration of 50% oral sucrose solution was effective in reducing infantile sensation of pain during immunization injection in infants under 6 months as evidence by their facial expression, position of legs, activity of the infant, presence of crying and consolability.
