Even though there are many building materials available in the market for constructing low rise building, author has investigated on mud as sustainable alternative building material for conventional building materials. Mud has crucial factors for sustainable construction practices and effective reduction in mitigating global warming. The cost effective construction technologies would emerge as the most acceptable case of sustainable technologies in India both in terms of cost and environment.
