Oils are frequently included in broiler diets to increase the energy density. Several experiments have shown that an increase in energy concentration produces a decrease in feed intake but does not negatively affect daily gain, resulting in an improvement in feed efficiency. Effects of dietary oil supplement on productive performance and lipid profiles in broiler and mice were resolute. There was no significant disparity observed for the body weight gain. Broiler fed with fish oil and linseed oil showed significantly lowered the serum triglycerides, cholesterol, LDL-c and VLDL-c concentrations whereas serum HDL-c concentrations were significantly increased by same diets. In case of HDL concentration of mice serum, the maximum value was obtained for T4 and the minimum values is gained for T1 group which was about 2.5 fold less than that of T4. The similar result is also found for VLDL-c concentration of mice serum. Utilization of linseed oil and fish oil in poultry diets would subsequently affect human health in a positive manner by increasing HDL and decreasing LDL quantities in consumed product.
