Teaching culture and language are intertwined. Thailand has chosen the option to improve on the teaching and learning of English language in classrooms at all levels of the educational ladder. However, there has been little progress in the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. Such effectiveness and be appreciated from the position Thailand occupies in the EF-EPI ( English First- English Proffiency Index ) for the last couple of years. EF-EPI provides an indicator of how effective people in a given country can use English for communication. The present work revisits the aspect of teaching culture in the English language classroom to emphasize the importance of culture in the language learning process. Some teaching approaches, methods and techniques have been reviewed and recommended, although not exhaustively, to improve English language teaching and learning in Thailand. This book may serve as a handbook for teachers and other education actors and decision makers in the field of language teaching and learning.
