The rapid change in fall weather forces Bella Anderson to decide if she will stay on her mountain through the coming winter. She has struggled with the loss of young lives through crime, and the lasting effect it has on her beloved community. Bella's dreams, in a way she can't understand, contribute to locating and saving the life of a beloved community member. As tragic losses surround the ever-popular tribal Powwow, and joyful community gatherings celebrate a wedding and honor tribal dances, Bella finds herself more and more immersed in her ancestral community in the Smoky Mountains.
