Climate Change and Role of Communities in Managing GLOF in Nepal

Nepal has been directly affected by the impacts of dangerous climate change. One of the prominent impacts is increased rate of glaciers melting. Consequently catastrophic Glacier Lake Outburst Floods (GLOFs) events have been more frequent than in the past. In this regards, this book has explored on the opportunities of involving communities in the GLOF management in Nepal. It further examines on proper institutional arrangement with communities in GLOF management in Nepal.
