This book, which is the first of a dietary investigation of copper in common carp (Cyprinus carpio. L), captures and gives an insight of environmental fate of the heavy metal in the fish in a chronic exposure study ex-situ. It went deep and explored physiological and growth biomarker responses and mechanism of toxic stress including hepatotoxicity, histopathology and tissue ion imbalances (sodium, potassium, and calcium), and their impacts on haematology. The book also showed the recovery of the fish from dietary copper exposure using the above biomarkers, which demonstrated the potential for continued hepatotoxicity in the fish. It is a must read for undergraduate, graduate and teachers in toxicology and environmental fate of chemicals.Happy reading
