Welcome to Creative Writing Prompts for Children!We hope this book will inspire you to write and explore new worlds! You will have the chance to write poems, be your own reporter, write and draw comics and so much more!There are no rules for this book. There is plenty of space in to write, but you can also write on a computer or your own paper. You can start at the back, the front or in the middle! If you don't feel inspired by a prompt, make one of your own! Tell your friends about Creative Writing Prompts too! Some terms to help you out:Fiction: Anything that you write that is not true. A made-up story.Nonfiction: Anything that you write that is true. This is about something that really did happen.Fan Fiction: Writing in which you take characters that other people have written, and imagine them saying and doing things that are normal for their character to do.Flash Fiction: A made up story that is very short (usually fewer than 500 words) Syllable: The number of beats. a mouth full of words. So, for example the word Syll-a-ble (clap each time you stop) has 3 syllables. Lamp has only one. You clap when saying lamp and it is only one beat. Video Game Vid-e-o game has 4.
