Cephalometrics-Past to Present

It is said that Cephalometrics is the language in which poetry of orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning is written. Cephalometrics is useful in determination of morphology and growth, diagnosis of anomalies, forecasting future relationships, planning appropriate biomechanics, evaluating pre and post treatment changes/efficacy of treatment mechanics, and studying relapse. It is the single most important research tool in the hands of orthodontists, physical anthropologists and growth science biologists.
