Assesment of Drinking Water Quality of Lahore-Pakistan

More than 7 million people of Lahore city, Pakistan, use groundwater for drinking and other household purposes. The quality of drinking water from source and distribution system was investigated in this study. A total number of 5012 water samples were collected from eight different towns.Water samples were collected from sources and household taps as well. These samples were analyzed for basic physiochemical parameters. Data is represented in form of charts and graphs. Unfit samples results were informed to concern management and after remedial measures water samples were collected again for analysis. As whole 94% water samples were found safe on base of tested parameters.
