Great wealth, Chariots, and Culture shock!

Maria continues to live on the ancient peninsula that overlooks a small port town on the east coast of the Peloponnese.

Her plans of purchasing a vacation home in Southern California were shattered due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which also limited her ability to travel and spend more time in the US.

All is not lost-she has a backup plan.

As Maria adjusts her sails for new winds heading her way, she continues her Peloponnese adventures-uncovering clues and solving ancient mysteries, while at the same time understand and adjusting to the local culture.

Could it be that the town of Astra was named to mean "a rain of stars"? Did the Tiryns-style wall ruins on the side of the peninsula once enclose a Mycenaean summer palace?

In 2009, an archeological dig was initiated in the area after an lonian-style column base was discovered. The dig revealed ancient bath structures, but unfortunately, it was soon halted and never resumed.

In this newest installment of the Artemis Child Series, Maria's search for answers brings her face to face with an ancient secret: a scandalous act perpetrated by the ancient Arcadians in an effort to reclaim the land of their ancient gateway town.
