Anscombe on Wittgenstein: Reminiscences of a Philosophical Friendship

This book provides a transcription of some of Elizabeth Anscombe's writings on the intellectual and personal character of Ludwig Wittgenstein, as well as Anscombe's own views on a wide range of topics--cultural, historical and psychological. Along with one of her previously unpublished essays and two essays by this book's editors, leading scholars of Anscombe, what emerges is a picture of Wittgenstein, the man and philosopher, as well as a memoir of a close friendship between two of the most significant philosophers of the twentieth century.
