An Overview of Various Staging Methods in Tooth Mineralization

Age is a significant factor in forensic investigation and court of law, including status of minority and criminal liability issues. One of the remarkable applications of forensic odontology is estimation of age by evaluating dental development process. Identifying and evaluation of teeth are very useful age predictors because of their relative accuracy and also due to lack of other reliable predictors.Radiographic assessment of teeth plays an important role in age estimation. It is simple, non-invasive, and reproducible method. It can be used both for in-vivo and in-vitro methods.Here, We can able to appreciate various staging methods used for dental age estimation in all over the world.
