An Instinct for Dragons

Fire-breathing, scale-flashing, wing-flapping, and tail-lashing - this is how the dragon is represented in common imagery. This work explores the universal mythology of the dragon and addresses the question of why people from different cultures have similar depictions of this reptilian creature that never existed. The legend of the dragon is investigated from Africa, to Europe, to Asia and the book attempts to search for biological and evolutionary basis through time and space.
