In A Young WAAF Hitchhiker's Guide to England, hitchhiker and author, Elizabeth Hutchings, takes the reader through her diaries from 1945-1947, when she did a considerable amount of hitchhiking around England. In her own description of the time, Elizabeth says, `Every moment that I was seeing England by hitchhiking, I felt really alive and free. I'm very glad indeed that I have kept these records and I only wish I had had a camera.' For those interested in England, hitchhiking and the period, this will be an interesting and fond read.
