Poetry. It is life's song, with or without music. Since the beginning of time it has been, as the Creator has filled the hearts and minds of men and women with beautiful expression. David knew as a boy watching over the sheep, that the Lord was filling his heart with words that would carry him through many hardships on his journey in life. Oh that he could have known, how many years, how many generations of people would be blessed and comforted by the words that God gave him. Poetry is inspiration and revelation. It is praise and adoration, comfort and strength. It speaks hope to the hopeless and lends a ray of light to those lost in darkness. It is the language and expression of lovers. The very first stories in children's lives are filled with poetry and prose. Poetry is timeless and will fill Heaven for eternity because our praise for our Lord will never end.

Sheila Hall Schottenheimer is a Christian author. Her greatest love in writing is poetry. She was born in New Castle, Indiana but has lived in Akron, Ohio most of her life.
