Optimism Out of Control

Years ago I shared a thought with a friend, an incredibly awesome thought. He responded by saying that perhaps my "optimism had just gotten out of control." But can optimistic truth ever be out of control? What if the confusion and division over Christian salvation could be eliminated by understanding a few missing puzzle pieces? What if God was truly a perfectly loving Heavenly Father as He says He is? What if God was both just and gracious, rewarding and punishing His children, but never condemning?
