Lzaro was born in Salamanca, just beside the Tormes river. He was very poor and since childhood he had to look for life itself. He didnt live a life in a happy world, but he was clever and witty, and he got ready to go forward. Like that, the life of Lazarillo of Tormes picks up in an autobiographical form, the adventures of a man who the poor forces to put at the service of various masters and sharpen his wits to not die of hunger. Without a father and still just a boy, his mother delivers him to a blind man so that he can accompany and serve him guidance. Considered by many to be the most revolutionary story of all of Spanish literature, with the life of Lazarillo of Tormes, this anonymous author has revolutionized literary genres paving the way for the modern novel.
