Nobody is more surprised than Billy when he finds himself bleeding out onto his new linoleum floor, a kitchen knife in his chest, and his wife, Rose, and her lover, Born2Rock, leaving for a night on the town. They’re sure he’ll be dead in no time. So is he.

Nobody is more disappointed than Billy when we wakes up to dawn’s early light filtering in around the kitchen blinds – can’t nobody get nothing right?

When Consuela, the cleaning lady, arrives, Billy convinces her to help him remove the knife and get him to hospital. But no cops – they’d want to know why all those boxes of stolen corporate documents are stashed in Billy’s back room. But then, blackmail does have negative connotations.

After a patching up, Billy escapes hospital, again with Consuela’s help, and tries to figure out how it all went so wrong. He returns to the scene of the crime, home, but not wanting a repeat performance, he decides to hide out in the attic, waiting and watching to see what Rose and Born2Rock will make of his disappeared corpse.

Billy finds help in the shape of his aging, amorous neighbor, Miss Jessie, and uses her Corvair to track Rose to her new abode. Which he somehow just has to burn to the ground, right after he runs over Born2 in Born2’s very own purple Trans Am. The use of Miss Jessie’s Corvair means Billy has to repay Miss Jessie in personal favors, but Billy doesn’t mind too much, not after all that time alone in the attic. He returns to Sunset Springs Trailer Park to pay a visit to touchy-feely Uncle JoJo, who once inducted Billy into the KKK and was behind Billy’s little brother disappearing many years earlier. Uncle JoJo’s trailer also burns well, especially with old Uncle JoJo in it, wheel chair and all. Real pretty.

On his way across the state, Billy meets Patty, a free spirit. Patty is also working through life’s problems, but in a healthier way than Billy – all love and healing. Billy takes her home where, after a few days in the attic, he decides it’s time to reclaim his house and his life. With Patty boosting his moral, Billy plots against the unsuspecting Rose, who ends up in court for the murder of her new boyfriend, Bigfoot. Billy figures that if you can’t get her for one murder, you can get her for another - by hiding the smoking .38 under her pillow. She goes down for twenty-five, and Billy and Patty start a new life in Billy’s home.

What they don’t reckon on is Rose’s unexpected release after a witness at her trial admits to perjury. So Rose has the element of surprise on her side when she pays Billy a late night visit, accompanied by Born2Rock’s brother who is keen on revenge. And Patty is aw...
